The Wakatipu Swim School Teachers

 

Our Teachers are Passionate, Caring, Experienced with a touch of 'Special'. At the Wakatipu Swim School we only employ special people to teach our swimmers. Our teachers are commited to their swimmers and enjoy the challenge of finding new ways to teach the aquatic life skills while considering the individual needs of each of the swimmers. All of our teachers complete the Wakatipu Swim School Training Modules and naturally empathise with and understand the needs of young swimmers and their families. More about the teachers...

 

One of our awesome teachers will be assigned to your swimmer for the whole of each block and where possible your preferred teacher will be assigned for all blocks. Swimmers who progress to the next level may move to a new class with a new teacher, however every effort is made to accommodate the swimmer and family preferences.

 

 

Qualifications and Experience All instructors have minimum qualification of the ASTA (or equivalent) from Swimming NZ. It is our policy to have all our staff wtih current First Aid Certificates.
We currently employ a team of fabulous teachers who continue to upgrade their skills with in-house and national training.
We recognise the importance of adhering to our Risk Management Strategy, including the identification and elimination of new risks to our swimmers.

 

Positions Vacant We are always open to having new teachers join our team. Experience is highly desirable but not necessary. All swim teaching qualifications considered valuable, in house training provided.
